Snead State Choral Program Receives Donation from Marshall County Legislative Delegation

BOAZ – The Marshall County Legislative Delegation presented a contribution to the Snead State Community College Choral Program for a trip to New York for participants to perform at Carnegie Hall.
The Snead State Concert Choir and Community Choir departed from Boaz this morning, Thursday, May 23, to begin their journey to New York. They will participate in the Two-Year College Choral Festival performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria in the legendary Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall.
“We are very honored to receive this support and for the interest our state and community leaders are taking in what we are doing at Snead State,” said Choral Program Chair Dr. Barbara Hudson.
The group will stay in New York until Monday, May 27. The Concert Choir and Community Choir presented a combined performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria on May 2 at Snead State Community College. While in New York, the group will also attend a Broadway show and do some sight-seeing in the Big Apple.
