Legislators give to tourism

The Marshall County Legislative Delegation offered support to Marshall County Tourism and Sports this spring. These funds are to assist with tourism research benefitting the county and to support the 2021 HydroFest event on Lake Guntersville.

The legislative delegation gave $2,500 for the economic impact study and $10,000 for HydroFest.

Tourism Director Katy Norton, said “Tourism is a large contributor to the economy of Marshall County. The support of our local legislators is important to our organization and its growth.”

“We are fortunate to have such a beautiful county. It is important to take care of our resources and make the best use to serve the community. Marshall County Tourism and Sports promotes the area very well and it is important to support those efforts,” said Rep. Wes Kitchens.
